Daily Reading // 2 Corinthians 11:12-15

READY // SILENCIO

Take a moment to quiet your mind and prepare your heart for your time with the Lord.

READ // LECTIO

Read the passage above up to threw times aloud. Allow yourself to feel the words as they are read.

REFLECT // MEDITATIO

Now direct your focus on the words, phrases concepts or sentences that got your attention. What is God speaking to you today through His word?

2 Corinthians 11:15 (NKJV) Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

Satan, the enemy, is deceptive. He is a deceiver. In fact, Jesus called him a liar and the father of all lies. When he speaks lies he is speaking in his native language.

Thanks to the deception of the enemy, I cannot trust what I hear and see. There are those, used by the enemy, who are also not what they present.

If I think I can’t be fooled by the deception then I am deceived already.

Even in a Paul’s day, the very first generation of Christianity, there were those claiming to be ministers of Christ but they were not. I’ve got to stay spiritually tuned in and not be deceived.

Notice this: “Whose end will be according to their works”. All will give a full and final accounting for their ministry.

RESPOND // ORATIO

Pray in response to what the Lord has spoken to you.

Holy Spirit, lead me and guide me. Give me discernment to those who truly serve You and those who are deceivers. I will also give account and my end will be according to my works. I want that to bring blessing, not penalty. Amen.

The more I trust in my own confidence and the more my ego grows, the more prone I am to the enemies deceit. May that never be! Lord help me always seek your ways so that I look forward to that day before you.
