Truth or Consequences
“Can a man take fire to his bosom, And his clothes not be burned? Can one walk on hot coals, And his feet not be seared?”
Proverbs 6:27-28 NKJV
Every action, whether good or bad, has a consequence. We like to eliminate negative consequences, but they perform an important function. Thank God for negative consequences! They are there to help us make good decisions.
Bad decisions have bad consequences. Some want to do whatever they want and somehow avoid the consequences. Consequences are like guardrails on a curvy stretch of mountain road. They keep me watchful and on the road.
Father, even negative consequences are a gift from You. I trust You and Your Word. Amen.
