And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

This was such a surprise. No one saw this coming. It couldn’t have been orchestrated in any way.
The disciples who had been with Jesus for three years thought they had seen it all. They saw Him do miracles. They saw Him rise from the dead. This was totally unexpected.
Lord, Do something unexpected in our day. Pour out Your Spirit in a way we have never experienced before. Not something we prepare for and anticipate but something that catches us off guard. Do a fresh and new work in our day that can only be explained as a miraculous work of God. Amen.
