So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.

God established marriage. Marriage is His doing and under His authority. When man makes changes to it (adding divorce, changing from a man and a woman to two of the same gender, etc), he is acting outside of his authority. Man can’t change marriage. It doesn’t belong to him. It belongs to God. To God, marriage has not changed since the garden.
Honor marriage as the beautiful thing God created. Don’t worry about what our society calls marriage. That is something different, orchestrated by culture. The culture will do what the culture will do. It doesn’t change what God has made.
Father, You are the Author and Perfector of marriage. Be honored in my marriage. Amen.
