But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
John 6:68-69 NKJV
At this time some turned away and some stayed with Jesus. Those who stayed with Jesus didn’t do it because they understood everything He said, or liked everything He said, or had everything figured out.
The ones who stayed did it because they knew and trusted Jesus. They had spent time with Him. They probably figured the understanding would come later.
It’s about spending time with Jesus. It’s about trust and having the patience to let the things I don’t understand to become clear.
Lord, Where else would I go? You alone have the words of eternal life.
