For they eat the bread of wickedness, And drink the wine of violence.
Proverbs 4:17 NKJV
What a wicked communion! Everything the Lord does the enemy twists, perverts and copies. Jesus offers the bread of His broken body. The enemy gives the bread of wickedness. Jesus blesses the wine of the new covenant through His blood. The enemy’s cup is the wine of violence. Wicked counterfeit!
Don’t be taken by the counterfeit of the enemy. Don’t be surprised when things that look like the true are actually twisted by the enemy. False humility. False spirituality. Unrighteousness dressed up to look like righteousness. We live in a world of twisted counterfeits.
Jesus, Keep me true to Your Word, not taken in by the tricks of the enemy. Amen.
