The phrase that caught my attention is ‘he who winks with the eye’. A wink indicates a secret. It involves slight or deception. It is like striking a deal but having your fingers crossed.
That kind of action makes it impossible for anyone to take you seriously. When someone has hidden intentions, it is surely going to cause trouble.
I am going to be the kind of person that puts everything out in the open. No hidden agenda. No side deals. Character is more important than any attempted gain.
Jesus, You have dealt honestly with me. I will do the same with others.
