SCRIPTURE:
He who has knowledge spares his words, And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.”
James 1:19-20 NKJV
OBSERVATION:
The two verses above were both part of today’s reading, one from the Old Testament and one from the New. They complement and confirm each other beautifully. One is from Solomon and one from the Lord’s earthly brother.
APPLICATION:
Open your ears. Shut your mouth. Stay calm. It’s simple but not easy.
Wisdom of the ages, but rarely used.
